Readiness Assessments

Determine Organizational Readiness to Respond to Special Pathogen Events
NETEC has developed free, online, self-assessment tools that help hospitals and emergency medical service agencies evaluate their operational readiness to respond to special pathogen events.
Viral Hemorrhagic Fever Checklist for Frontline Health Care Facilities
NETEC developed a checklist for facilities to assess their readiness to identify, isolate, inform, and provide initial treatment for patients suspected or confirmed to have a viral hemorrhagic fever. The checklist guides facilities through a review of their immediate care capabilities and links to resources that will help improve or fill gaps in preparedness.

What Does an Assessment Look Like?
Our assessment framework covers multiple domains — from physical infrastructure to personnel management — to help give you a complete picture of your facility’s level of special pathogens operational preparedness.
Intended to be completed by operational leaders for an organization’s special pathogen program, the free assessment can be completed in one sitting or over multiple sessions. You will also have the opportunity to receive additional follow-up consultation for areas identified as opportunities for improvement.
“NETEC is the most important educational resource for emerging pathogens that exists in the U.S. Without it, many hospitals would be as we were in 2014, struggling to develop consistent protocols for our scared caregivers.”
